Middle School is going by and it’s time to choose a high school. I chose Foothill, but not as my first choice. I never thought that I would be stepping on the camp grounds considering the luck I have. After a while of researching and mental thinking I have decided.
The first thing you have to do for choosing a school is look at the choices. I got to choose from Ventura High, El Camino High, and Foothill Technology. I wanted to go to Buena, some old friends were going there, at first but that was not on my list of schools to go to. I wanted to go to Ventura High because the majority of my friends were going there as well. I wanted to go to El Camino for some odd reason I did not know about. My last choice was foothill Technology, I wanted to go there becausenot only were my friends going there butthe achademics were exelent as well. My parents and I decided that Ventura High was going to be an alternative if i didn't get into Foothill or Elcamino.
The next step was to research the schools. My dad went to El Camino on an open house night and got an overview on the school. I learned that this school was an independent school. Meaning that the work that you did was solo andyou did most of the work alone. Then my dad and I went on an open tour of foothill technology. We learned a whole lot of the school that we didn't know. I soon had my search narrowed down to Foothill Technology or El Camino.
My final step was to choose the school that I wanted to be in. My head and heart were in a bit of a battle. My head said that I would get stressed to eaisly. Though my heart said that I would enjoy being there and would like to stay. I would always listen to my head but I really wanted to go to Foothill rather than El Camino.
I finally decided that I would go to Foothill Technology as my high school. After the reseach and choosing between my friends and education. I had finally got both of them in one place. My heart won over and my head is cooled off and I have finally choosen to go to the school that I am now enrolled in, Foothill Technology High School.
